Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas!

I hope everyone enjoyed a very blessed and merry Christmas yesterday!

Derrick and I enjoyed our last Christmas as a family of two; I think we both appreciated it, knowing next year we will have a crawling 9-month old. It’s hard to wrap my brain around that still, but I’m sure Christmas with our little girl with just be awesome in a different way.

We essentially did nothing but check in with family and open presents and watch TV. It was quite lovely. I’m getting to the point where I have been more tired lately (hello, third trimester) so getting to be lazy and not have to worry about anything (or anyone!) was very nice.

In baby news, I’m down to about 10 weeks (give or take, because I still think due date predictions are basically voodoo), which is crazy. I definitely am feeling more anxious about preparing everything, but I’m also getting preeeetty tired of being pregnant and not being able to sleep well and having my hand feel numb and tingly because baby girl likes to apparently lay on my spine just right. I know I really shouldn’t complain because my pregnancy has been relatively normal and uncomplicated, and I know so many other women have way worse problems than an achy back and dark circles under their eyes. BUT still,  I am looking forward to being down to single-digit weeks left 🙂

This is the one and only pic most of you will see of me with the baby bump, so here you go, if you were curious (Thanks DQ for taking this photo at a very flattering angle!)

PS this dress is from PinkBlush Maternity. I really liked it and they have a lot of really cute dresses, so I recommend them if at any point you are looking for a nice dress during a pregnancy.

Santa Claus brought us lots of lovely gifts; the Wee One made out like a bandit:

I have to say, all our family that sent her gifts have great fashion sense. This little one will be stylin’.

Consequently, I will also be stylin’ in these Avenger fleece pants that Derrick got for me for maybe about the next 2.5 months

It’s hard to believe that we are almost to the end of the holiday weekend and the end of the year (luckily for me, I have next Wednesday through Friday off, so at least I only have two days before another nice long weekend).

And now, because this post wasn’t very exciting, here are two videos you should check out to be more entertained:

Merry Christmas, y’all!
